Jacqueline Larsen (SHE/HER) 

Founder / Director

Jaq founded Soul Song back in 2010 when she lived in Cairns.  

She directed the group until 2017 when she moved to Brisbane and eventually started to expand the Soul Song network in the South East,

In 2025, she now runs all the day to day operations of all 10 choirs (with support from Nicky) as well as selecting and producing all repertoire and teaching materials (with support from her son Daniel) and managing the vision and strategic direction of the Choirs (although let's face it, it often feels like haphazard, confused stumbling!!).

Jaq also does all brand and design work (other than social media), along with video and event production, 

She works ALL the time but LOVES what she does and is forever grateful for the opportunity to lead hundreds of people in song each week. 

Her biggest nervousness about expanding to our new choirs with new directors in 2025 is not being able to know all our members by name - something that she's been quite proud of to date.  But that's ok because that will just become the task of the new Musical Directors, Admin All Stars and, of course, Nicky!
 

Nicky Marsh (SHE/HER) 

Executive Support

Nicky's title is Executive Support because basically she's crucial to the survival of Soul Song and we couldn't really think of a way of summing up everything she does!

Nicky manages all of our social media channels; processes and manages memberships and renewals and assists with member queries; assists with general admin and website content; handles financial and membership reporting; manages Admin Allstars and assists with new member onboarding; manages the online Zoom rehearsals from inside the virtual room and manages rehearsal attendance and reporting.  And that's just the start of it!

Jaq describes Nicky as her 'external hard drive'.  In the two years that she's been helping Jaq out, she's become completely indIspensable and there are very few major (or minor) decisions made without her!

Based in Singapore, Nicky has been a Viral Choir member since March 2020. She attends all online rehearsals unless she's away or unwell and on average gets about 15 minutes learning in across these rehearsals as she's online working at the same time!!
